Travis County Constable Pct. 2 Explorer in the Academy





Travis County Constable Pct. 2 Explorer Reis Parsons is taking part in the Austin Police Department Explorer Academy. The Explorer Academy is the longest formal training program in the country for Law Enforcement Explorers. Explorers are youth between the ages 14 -20 years old that are interested in a career in Law Enforcement. Offered annually, the Explorer Academy teaches youth important life skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication, ethics, penal code, police tactics, firearms safety, advanced medical skills, CPR and more. The month-long academy includes multiple agencies from the surrounding area and counties. In this one-of-a-kind Academy, Explorers experience physical challenges and gain confidence, learning that they can succeed under very demanding conditions.
