Heavy and nearly constant downpours over more than a week resulted in severe flooding over Central Texas and Travis County, prompting evacuations and flood-control action in several parts of the area. Travis County Pct. 2 Constable Deputies sprung into action to help residents evacuate, search for people trapped, and clear the area in the western part of the county. Helping evacuate residents also provided a clear view of the major damage associating with flooding.

A number of roads around the Travis County area were closed after all of the heavy rain in western Travis County. Our Deputies also monitored these road closures 24 hours a day to ensure the public's safety.
