National Night Out was held this year on the evening of October 2 and Constable Adan Ballesteros and the Pct. 2 Deputies had a fantastic evening meeting our neighbors out in the community. We were impressed with the amount of parties and attendees celebrating fellowship, food, and the cooler temperatures.
During the event, residents in neighborhoods throughout Austin and across the nation are asked to turn on their porch lights, lock their doors, and spend the evening outside with their neighbors, police officers, firefighters and EMS paramedics. Events such as cookouts, block parties and neighborhood walks all occur simultaneously throughout the city and nationwide.
