Lt. Jeff Parker Recognized For 33 Years Of Public Service

Tuesday, May 7, 2019 was declared as Travis County Employee Recognition Day by the Commissioners Court. On this day, out of 179 employees recognized, only 12 were recognized for 30 or more years of service. Our own Lt. Jeff Parker was presented with a certificate for 30 years of public service.

Lt. Parker started with the Travis County Sheriff's Office in 1985 as a dispatcher and later promoted to dispatch supervisor. He started working for the Precinct 5 Constable's Office in 1995 working as a dispatcher while attending the CAPCOG Police Academy at night, becoming a Deputy Constable shortly afterwards. In 2002, he started working for the Precinct 3 Constable's Office. While working for Precinct 3, he developed and implemented a K-9 program, becoming one of the first two Deputy Constables in Travis County to be assigned as a K-9 Deputy. He began working for Constable Ballesteros and Precinct 2 in 2009.

Congratulations to Lt. Jeff Parker for dedicating 33 years of public service to Travis County!
