Integrated Active Shooter Response Training Given To Law Enforcement In Lago Vista

The Travis County Pct. 2 Constable Office was pleased to help provide Active Shooter Response Training to members of the Lago Vista Police Department, Jonestown Police Department, Department of Public Safety, and Emergency Services District #1 at Lago Vista High School. The training covered topics including search and rescue, building security, evacuations plans, and setting up a command center. The group also practiced scenarios and procedures when encountering an Active Shooter. Training such as this will help Law Enforcement coordinate with Emergency Services to quickly ascertain the situation and manage response in the event of an Active Shooter.
