Deputies Receive Water Rescue and Survival Training

With flash flooding being the #1 natural disaster threat to Austin and Central Texas, the need for swift water survival and rescue training is necessary for our Deputies to be ready when necessary. The Travis County DCPE (Division of Clinical Performance and Education) recently supplied this training course for our team at Rio Vista Park on the San Marcos river, where they practiced skills to ensure their ability to survive in or around water in case of an flooding emergency. Travis County Constable Pct. 2 is committed to our community and its safety and our Deputies receive training throughout the year.
